The procedure is as follows.

2. Turn the multiport valve to Rinse.

4. Turn on the blower. You will notice some water discharging from the waste line from the bead filter.

5. Run the blower like this for a few minutes, say 5 or 6.

6. Turn off the blower.

7. Switch the multiport valve to Backwash.

8. Turn on the blower. You will notice all the dirty water now being blown out from the bead filter.

9. Once this is completed turn off the blower.

10. Close the air valve.

11. Open the water supply to the filter (with the multi port in backwash mode) until the discharge water runs clear. This can take a little while depending on how dirty your bead filter is.

12. Close the water supply to the filter. Turn the multi port valve to Rinse.

13. Open the water supply to the filter and wait for the discharge water to run clear.

14. Close the water supply to the bead filter. Turn the multi port valve to Filter.

15. Turn on the water supply to the bead filter and run the filter as normal.

Your back wash is now complete. Quick and easy!
