BozuBald. Refers to the bald head of a Buddhist priest. Koi with a white head having no Hi or Sumi. Originally Koi that had even a spot of colour on the head were not referred to as Bozu. Recently all Koi with light heads are called bozu. (Courtesy of the excellent Book Kokugyo Vol II) |
